Jammu & Kashmir: The Traffic Police have launched a special enforcement drive against vehicles operating with suspended Registration Certificates (RCs). Officials have advised vehicle owners with multiple pending traffic challans to immediately verify the status of their RCs to avoid legal action.
As part of the campaign, the Traffic Department is using advanced technology to scan vehicle number plates and identify suspended registrations. During inspections, if the RC of a bike, scooter, or any other vehicle is found to be suspended, the vehicle may be seized on the spot.
Authorities have urged motorists to check their RC and challan status through the mParivahan app or the relevant online transport portals. Vehicle owners with pending challans or suspended registrations have been advised to complete the necessary formalities without delay.
According to officials, action against vehicles with suspended RCs was already in place, but the ongoing drive is being implemented with greater strictness. Any such vehicle found on the road can be subject to seizure and further legal proceedings.
The public has been requested to regularly monitor the status of their vehicle documents and comply with traffic regulations to avoid penalties and enforcement action.
