A major road accident took place in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday after a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) vehicle skidded off the road near the Gagangir Tunnel, leaving six CRPF personnel injured.
According to officials, the incident occurred when the CRPF vehicle lost control while passing near the Gagangir Tunnel and skidded off the road. Six personnel travelling in the vehicle sustained injuries in the accident.
Security personnel and emergency responders rushed to the spot immediately after the incident. The injured jawans were provided first aid at the scene before being shifted to the CRPF camp at Gund for further medical treatment.
Officials said the condition of the injured personnel is being assessed, and all necessary medical care is being provided. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, while further details are awaited.
