Vaishno Devi Yatra
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has temporarily suspended the Vaishno Devi Yatra following an adverse weather advisory issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
In an official travel update, the Shrine Board said the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of pilgrims amid unfavorable weather conditions. The Yatra will remain suspended until further orders.
The Board urged all devotees to stay updated through its official communication channels and avoid relying on unverified information. Pilgrims have also been advised to cooperate with the authorities and follow all safety guidelines.
Officials said the pilgrimage will resume only after weather conditions improve and the route is declared safe for devotees. Further updates regarding the reopening of the Yatra will be issued through official platforms.
The temporary suspension comes in view of the IMD’s forecast of adverse weather in the region, with authorities prioritizing the safety and well-being of thousands of pilgrims visiting the holy shrine
