Transport Commissioner of Jammu and Kashmir, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, on Sunday said that bike taxi service Rapido does not have permission to operate in the Union Territory and warned that strict action would be taken against the company.
In a post shared on X, Well i am in receipt of Complaints regarding operation of RAPIDO in the UT. Let me clarify that this bike service does not have a license to operate in Jammu and Kashmir. Further any body participating in the service or using it is doing at his/ her own risk . I have given directions to my Officers to take action against this illegal service.,” Mahajan stated.
The Transport Commissioner further warned that people using or participating in the service would do so at their own risk. He added that directions have already been issued to concerned officers to initiate action against the unauthorised operations across the Union Territory.
