In two separate security-related incidents on Sunday, Jammu and Kashmir authorities recovered a weapon-mountable telescope in Jammu and detained a man in Samba for questioning.

- Family Statement: During the initial inquiry, the child’s family claimed he had found the telescope in a local garbage dump earlier that morning.
- Official Response: While an active investigation is underway, a police spokesperson urged the community to remain calm, stating, “The public is advised not to panic.”
Man Detained in Samba District
In a separate development, police took 24-year-old Tanvir Ahmad into custody in the Diani village of Samba district.
- Reason for Detention: Officials reportedly apprehended Ahmad after discovering a Pakistani phone number on his mobile device.
