A total of 47,346 pilgrims paid obeisance at the holy Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine on the first day of Shardiya Navratras, marking the beginning of the nine-day festival with religious fervour and devotion.
A large number of devotees arrived in Katra from different parts of the country to seek the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi. The town witnessed a festive atmosphere as pilgrims undertook the sacred journey to the shrine.
The beginning of Shardiya Navratras brought enthusiasm among devotees, with many offering prayers for peace, prosperity and the well-being of their families.
