Royal Challengers Bengaluru won their second consecutive IPL title beating Gujarat Titans by five wickets in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 final. The bowlers first exploited a slow pitch to perfection and Virat Kohli mastered the chase just like he has did in the past with a swashbuckling fifty.
Kohli played a knock of unbeaten 75 runs from just 42 deliveries to help RCB chase down the target of 156 with two overs to spare. Venkatesh Iyer, who opened the batting with him set th platform for RCB’s win by scoring 32 runs from just 16 deliveries. Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers for GT taking two wickets.
For GT, Washington Sundar was the sole batter who looked comfortable at the crease and scored 50 runs from 37 deliveries. However, a lack of support from the other end meant that GT managed to post only 155/8. Rasikh Salam Dar picked three wickets while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood picked two wickets each.
