RAMBAN: Two Border Security Force (BSF) officers were injured on Tuesday when their bus collided with two other vehicles on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The personnel were en route from Jammu to Anantnag for Amarnath Yatra deployment.
According to officials, the BSF bus first struck a Maruti Ertiga passenger vehicle before colliding with a tractor-trolley at Peerah. The injured officers—Assistant Sub-Inspector Sanjeet Kumar and Head Constable Arveen Kumar—sustained minor injuries and were rushed to the Ramban district hospital, where their conditions are reported as stable.
The multi-vehicle collision caused temporary traffic disruptions, leaving the highway partially blocked. Normal traffic flow has since resumed after authorities cleared the damaged vehicles from the road. An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway.
