A tragic road accident in the Manjakote area of Rajouri district on Wednesday resulted in the death of a teenage student and left two others injured.
The Incident
The accident occurred when a motorcycle collided with a Tata Mobile load carrier. Following the crash, local officials reported that all three individuals on the motorcycle sustained injuries and were immediately rushed to a nearby medical facility for emergency care.
Casualties and Current Status
- Deceased: 15-year-old Mohd Aqib, son of Mohd Rasib. He tragically succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri.
- Injured: Two other students involved in the collision are currently receiving treatment; hospital officials have stated that their condition is stable.
Official Action
Local police have officially taken cognizance of the crash. A formal investigation is now underway to determine the exact cause of the collision.
