Displaced Kashmiri Pandits staged a protest on Wednesday against the Jammu and Kashmir administration’s decision to integrate their relief ration system into the National Food Security Act (NFSA).
Hundreds of members from migrant camps in Jagti, Purkhoo, Nagrota and Muthi, along with groups like Panun Kashmir and other displaced organisations, participated in the protest, raising slogans against the move.
Community leaders called NFSA a “conspiracy” to dilute the identity of Kashmiri Pandits as displaced and genocide survivors, warning of intensified agitation if the decision is not withdrawn.
