The CJP (Cockroach Janta Party) has called off its ongoing agitation following talks with the Central Government and appealed to all demonstrators to return to their homes peacefully.
The announcement came after discussions between the protest leaders and government representatives, during which both sides reportedly made progress on key issues raised by the protesters. Describing the decision as a gesture of goodwill, CJP leaders said the agitation had achieved its immediate objective of initiating meaningful dialogue with the Centre.
Addressing the protesters, the leadership thanked supporters for maintaining discipline throughout the movement and urged everyone to disperse peacefully while continuing to uphold law and order. They emphasised that the protest had remained democratic and peaceful, reflecting the collective voice of the people.
The CJP also stated that although the agitation has ended, it will continue to monitor the implementation of the assurances given during the talks and will pursue public issues through constitutional and democratic means if required.
Following the announcement, authorities began restoring normalcy in the affected areas. Security personnel remained deployed to ensure a smooth dispersal of protesters, while officials appealed to the public not to pay attention to rumours and to cooperate in maintaining peace.
