A tragic incident occurred during a cricket match in the Bhalesa area of Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir, where a 21-year-old cricketer died after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest on the field. The incident has left players, spectators, and the local community in deep shock.
The deceased has been identified as Suhail Furqan, a resident of Kulshari village in Bhalesa, Doda. He was participating in a match of the Bhalesa Chenab Premier Cricket League at Thloran Sports Stadium. According to eyewitnesses, shortly after completing his bowling over, Suhail suddenly collapsed on the ground and lost consciousness.
Teammates and tournament organizers rushed to his aid and provided first assistance before shifting him to the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Changa. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival. Preliminary reports suggest that he may have suffered a cardiac arrest, though the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem examination.
