Mountain Rescue Teams (MRTs) remain on high alert along the Baltal and Pahalgam routes of the ongoing Shri Amarnath Yatra to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims undertaking the annual pilgrimage.
Officials said the MRT teams have been strategically deployed along the entire trekking route and are maintaining constant vigilance to respond swiftly to any emergency. Their presence is aimed at providing immediate rescue and assistance, ensuring a safe and hassle-free journey for devotees.
Pilgrims are continuing their journey smoothly towards the Holy Cave Shrine from both the Baltal and Pahalgam axes. Security personnel, rescue teams, medical units and other support services remain fully operational to facilitate the safe movement of yatris.
