A major road accident took place near Patnitop in Jammu after a gas tanker collided with a small car. Soon after receiving information about the incident, police and traffic officials rushed to the spot and started rescue operations.
As a precautionary measure, traffic movement in the area has been stopped. Vehicles heading towards Jammu are being diverted back towards Batote, causing heavy congestion on the highway.
Reports suggest that a few people may have been injured in the accident, although no official confirmation has been issued so far. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident while efforts are underway to clear the road and restore normal traffic movement.
