In a major breakthrough, all three minor boys who had gone missing from Kandni village in Tehsil Drabshalla of Jammu & Kashmir’s Kishtwar district have been traced safely in Ludhiana, Punjab, bringing immense relief to their families and the local community.
The minors — Varun Sharma, son of Suresh Kumar; Priyansh Sharma, son of Joginder Paul; and Aman Sharma, son of Sanjay Kumar — had left their homes on June 22 to attend EPHSS Thathri School. However, they never reached the school, prompting concern among family members.
After the boys remained untraceable, Sanjay Kumar lodged a written complaint at Police Station Thathri. Acting on the complaint, police registered FIR No. 53/2026 under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and launched an investigation.
Thathri Police immediately initiated a search operation and conducted extensive efforts, including technical surveillance and field investigations. Their efforts paid off when the three boys were successfully traced in Ludhiana, Punjab.
According to police officials, all three minors have been found safe and are being brought back to their families. Authorities have also confirmed that further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances under which the boys left their homes and travelled to Ludhiana.
The successful recovery of the children has brought great relief to their families, who had been anxiously waiting for any information about their whereabouts over the past four days. Police continue to investigate all aspects of the case.
