A young man lost his life while an 18-year-old girl was injured in a tragic road accident after two motorcycles collided head-on on Chanapora Bridge in Srinagar.
According to officials, the collision was severe, leaving both riders with serious injuries. Local residents and emergency responders rushed the victims to a nearby hospital. However, the young man succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while the injured girl is currently receiving medical care.
Police reached the accident site soon after the incident, shifted the damaged motorcycles, and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash. Authorities are also working to identify the second motorcycle and gather further details related to the accident.
The incident has once again raised concerns over road safety and reckless driving in Jammu and Kashmir, where fatal road accidents continue to claim lives.
